Getting around in Prague

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Prague public transport is reliable, safe, clean, cheap, and often the quickest option to travel around the city. The tickets differ by their price and time of validity, e.g. a 30 CZK ticket is valid for 30 minutes, 40 CZK for 90 minutes, 120 CZK for one day and 330 CZK for 3 days (25 CZK is about 1 EUR). You can buy the tickets at metro stations and (only by card) on trams and buses. For more, including a journey planner, see

HOW TO GET TO THE VENUE

FROM THE MAIN RAILWAY STATION

The main railway station (Praha hlavní nádraží) is directly on metro line C (red), at the station Hlavní nádraží. From there, you can either walk to the conference venue via Old Town Square (about 30 min), or take the metro to Muzeum (direction Háje, one stop) and change to line A (green) for Staroměstská (direction Nemocnice Motol, two stops).

FROM THE AIRPORT

Take the bus 59 to its terminal, Nádraží Veleslavín. Then take the metro line A to Staroměstská (direction Depo Hostivař, 5 stops).
